electric bicycle in singapore is more common than you think !
the place where you can find most electric bicycle should be geylang.
along geylang those streets, you can often see very very highly modified electric bicycle.
these electric bicycles can run up till 70km/hour !!! scary.
also, dun think that only ah peh or uncles use electric bicycles, nowdays nore and more executive and professionals are using it too ! haven seen much youngsters use it though, ( except me. haha )
i mean, its like so convenient to get from point a to point b using the electric bike,
probably saved about 1000 dollars on public transport fees since i started to use the electric bike.
you know, actually LTA law use to be quite good. we can have throttle and 4 batteries in our bike. however, due to some incidents at geylang area. ( those high speed bikes knocked into some people because the rider was drunk ),
then LTA have to come up with some new laws in response to the complain ma.
back in china, the amount of electric bicycle you can see on the streets is amazing.
i foresee sooner or later singapore will have the same scene also.
